Margreth K. Russa is her name. She is the last born in a family of two. She has a degree in Accounting and is presently pursuing a course in pharmacy at Montgomery College. She has worked with Marriott Hotels as an accountant and H.R representative. Her portfolio will be focusing in promoting higher education for girls mostly in rural, but also Urban areas. She believes that when a woman is educated she is empowered, and it promotes more knowledge, skills and self-confidence. “Once you educate a girl you have educated the world” she says and added “In my mother’s village Bukoba, Tanzania I have seen a lot of girls being lied to by older men who got them sick, or left them with unplanned pregnancies. This is because of lack of education and low self-esteem “. I would love to see young girls educated and prepare better lives for themselves.
