Biography
Birthname Gladys Muthue, "Keetu " is a Kenyan recording and performingartist who comes from a very musical family, her mother a tambourine player hasbeen singing in choir since she was 12yrs to date her brother a vocalist andguitarist has also been a big inspiration to her career.

Music has always been her love, in 2004 she co-founded the dakahuma youthinitiative which reached out to disenfranchised members of Nairobi communitythrough art and music,
in 2005 she performed at the Consolata festival and won the award for the bestR n B song and best vocalist
keetu joined the Kenya performing arts dance school 2006-2007which helpedstrengthen her stage performance and dancing
In 2007 July keetu was involved in an exchange program by the Dutch NationalYouth Council, where 17 young people came together and created a theatre playon hiv/aids and performed it in both Nairobi and Amsterdam
In 2008 she went back to Amsterdam with an organization called Yaden for anyear ,she did a few of her compositions on stage and managed to get a few showsin utrect ,groingen and muiderpoort theatre in Amsterdam. Keetu who is also adancer performed in a stand up jam in muiderpoort theatre and appeared in oneof their posters(the multiple jam 5th edition)
“We can” is one her compositions about the hardships women go through and howthey should be ready to fight for their rights and overcome it all, this songwas used by Oxfam and yaden in the we can campaign, also performed in a few ofFIDA’S function. keetu is so passionate about this song, in one of herinterviews she was quoted saying” put the future in the hands of a woman andyou can be assured of perfection”
